San Diego County Road Repair and Maintenance Contacts

Report road hazards and unsafe road conditions (broken pavement, glass, debris, malfunctioning signal sensors, misconfigured bike markings, short signals, etc). to the appropriate jurisdiction listed below. It really can work, but only if you call! (If unsure what city to call, the Thomas Bros. maps have city limits indicated.) For example, have you noticed the mud, weeds, and debris on the Rose Creek Bike Path in P.B. lately? That's within the City of San Diego, and they want to hear from us! If you don't report it, who will?
The city of San Diego has a Street Division Services web page with an online form for submitting service requests.

The County of San Diego Public Works has a hotline for potholes, sweeping requests, and other problems; call 1-877-684-8000 to file a report.

CALTRANS repainted the signs for the I-5 North-bound onramp from Genessee after one of our members reported the faded signs. Unfortunately Caltrans apparently does not consider them a valid permanent feature  - they were left alone during a re-oiling of the shoulder but some weeks later were completely removed  and have been gone since.
